When I first got started with beach body, I wanted to do it 100%, I wanted to make sure that I was successful in the business and in order to do that I wanted to learn the correct philosophies. I hired Craig as a mentor and he mentored me for the first two years in our business and helped me to lay the foundation to what it is today.  He was directly responsible for teaching me many of the philosophies we use, philosophies which allowed us to build a business that gave us walk away income.  It gave us the ability to do what we want, when we want with who we want for the rest of our lives.

We learned how to invest in people and bring out the best in them, to help them reawaken a vision and a dream that they’ve always had for their lives. The easiest way to discontinue a habit you don’t want to continue, is to replace it with a better habit. If we focus on discontinuing, we’re still focusing on that habit, we’re still giving that habit energy. If we’re focused on not doing something change is difficult.  It’s easier to move through something if you’re focused on doing something else.

During this interview there was so many times where I was on the other end of the microphone, just listening to Erica’s Story and I was in tears. It was such an endearing story and the fortitude that her and her husband walked with and what they have done since. They went on to create the Bija Institute and the Bija Foundation.  The Bija Institute is a place to hold retreats or you can go on and retreat yourself.

In this episode, I talk about how I drank my first six pack of beer in the 7th grade, how that led to blacking out 2-3 nights a week throughout high school and getting kicked off the high school football team, then onto college where I was blacking out sometimes 5 nights a week, and eventually hitting rock bottom and getting drunk for the last time in Mardi Gras with a group of college friends. Then my healing journey began with a dedicated yoga practice, intense therapy and a spiritual path that I fell in love with. Eventually I began living the life I now have and loving it. I now spend every day, doing what I want, when I want, with who I want.
