There is difference between believing you can have success and knowing that you are going to have success in anything you do in life. I want to tell you my personal story about how I learned how to be a successful Beachbody Coach, and about the drastic difference between believing you can be successful and knowing it.
How to Be a Successful Beachbody Coach
My Beachbody sponsor was a personal friend prior to us being Beachbody Coaches. We both started with P90X and he decided he wanted to sign up as a Coach, but I wasn’t quite ready. I loved P90X and love what Beachbody had to offer, but I just didn’t feel like being a Coach was right for me. My friend started working his business and started having a certain degree of succevss building his business, made Diamond Club, and was putting in a ton of work but kind of stalled at that level.
He really wanted to make this business his full-time work and focus. I, however, was skeptical. He had a law firm, a wife, kids, alimony, child support, and while I understood how amazing it could be to be a full-time Beachbody Coach, I felt like he had responsibilities that really wouldn’t allow that.
Time went by and I’m watching him telling these stories and posting his selfies on Facebook. He kept approaching me with this business and I just didn’t want to do it. In fact, I was so tired of seeing his posts that I blocked him on Facebook!
Eventually he ended up going to a Summit out in LA and he got to meet some big-name guys and spend some time around some other successful Coaches. Up until this point, he was successful but not as successful as he wanted to be. Prior to getting around these people, he believed he could really do this, but once he got around all these people, he went from a place of believing he could do it to a place of KNOWING he could do it.
He called me up one more time and told me all about his experience at Summit. To be honest, what he said isn’t important. What was important was his energy and enthusiasm and tone in his voice as he spoke about Beachbody. It was clear that he didn’t have a single doubt that he was going to do this and see the success he wanted. In 3 months, he went from a Diamond Coach to a 3-star Diamond Coach. That’s when I signed up and jumped in and started building my business.
This is the point I want to make that will determine the level of success you will have in this business:
Until you make the decision that you are really going to do this and decide you are going all in, no one is really going to pay attention. But the second you make that choice, you will become attractive to others. They will recognize that they are going somewhere, and they will want to go with you. I didn’t know where he was going, but I saw that he was going somewhere, and I didn’t want to be left behind.
