I’ve outlined the steps you need to take in order to signup and also provided a few questions that you will need to have answered before initiating the signup process. I’ve also included a video which illustrates exactly how and where to get started.
Step 1: How to choose the right Beachbody coach as your sponsor.
You have two choices here. First, you can simply go to Beachbodycoach.com and click on the “Become a coach” button. Beachbody will randomly assign a coach to you, but keep in mind that your ultimate success in this business may be tied to this arbitrary selection process. For this reason, I highly recommend not doing this. Choosing the right Beachbody coach is one of the most important decisions you can make to ensure your success!
Your second option which I highly recommend, is to choose someone to become not only your Beachbody coach, but become your sponsor and mentor as well. This person will guide you through each phase of building your own personalized Beachbody business, and make himself or herself available over the phone, through email, via video conferencing and/or in person. This person will inspire you, take you by the hand and challenge you to reach your goals. This coach is not only passionate about the business but is passionate about life, and helping to give people like you, the proper direction and tools to succeed! The rest of this post goes through how to become a Beachbody Coach assuming you are choosing a sponsor.
Step 2: Determine how you will signup as a Beachbody coach.
There are three different ways to signup as a coach. I’ll outline the pros and cons for each.
- Just a Beachbody Coach. (I do not recommend signing up this way)
If you only want to sign up as a coach and nothing more, you can do so for a one time sign up fee of $40.00 along with a $15.95 monthly business service fee. You will become an official independent Beachbody coach and be equipped with four websites: beachbodycoach.com/yourusername, teambeachbody.com/yourusername, myshakeology.com/yourusernameand myultimatereset.com/yourusername. As a coach you will now have the ability to retail (sell any products in our catalog to a customer) and you may sell as many products as you would like. The process is quite simple. This isn’t a business where you have to buy product and resell it. You simply direct a potential customer to your site where they purchase a product. Beachbody ships their order to them and you receive a commission check deposited into your bank account. Sweet right? - An active Beachbody coach purchasing product.
Active means that you are purchasing product from the company. This is one of two ways I encourage you to sign up. Why should you choose to become an active coach vs. non active?- You get to take advantage of our numerous payment centers, not just retail.
- You can begin building a team of other Beachbody coaches.
- You are eligible to earn cycle bonuses, matching bonuses, team bonuses, free customers, free leads, free coaches, etc. If you are inactive (purchase no personal product) you cannot take advantage of any of that.
- One of our 3 vital behaviors as Beachbody Coaches is being a “product of the product.” That is, we promote products we use ourselves.
If you are signing up as an active coach, I recommended doing so with the purchase of Shakeology upon your initial sign up. Shakeology is our number one nutritional and continuity product. - An active Beachbody Coach purchasing a Challenge Pack.
This is by far the best way to go. It includes everything in #2 (an active coach purchasing product) but with a Challenge Pack that combines the fitness program of your choice with the Shakeology flavor of your choice. Step 3: Sign up as a Beachbody coach
After you have chosen the right coach for you and decided which package you are going to sign up with, the next step is to go through the sign up process. I’m going to outline this by providing you my personal link to signup. If you choose to signup under someone else, simply replace thetribe part of the link with your sponsor’s username.
Signup as “Just a Coach” (not recommended)

3) Fill out Coach Information page, check 2 boxes at bottom and sign,
click “continue enrollment”
4) On second page, scroll to bottom and select “no thanks, just sign
me up”
5) On third page, scroll to bottom and select “no thanks, just sign
me up”

Sign up as an Active Coach with Shakeology (#2 recommended way)
1) Visit www.teambeachbody.com/thetribe
2) Click Orange “Be A Coach” Button
3) Fill out Coach Information page, check 2 boxes at bottom and sign,
click “continue enrollment”
4) On second page, scroll to bottom and select “no thanks, just sign
me up”
5) On third page, select shakeology flavor of your choice in second
drop down. Scroll to bottom and hit “yes upgrade my order”

Step 4: Receive your welcome email
Congratulations! You are now officially an Independent Beachbody coach! You will receive an email indicating your “first steps” as a new Beachbody coach.
