[0:03:08.3] KC: Welcome to the All About Beachbody Coaching Podcast. Keith here and today we’re talking about if you have a situation where you’re considering coaching but there’s literally, there’s just so many coaches in your area right? You’re in one of those areas where Beachbody is totally taking over and it feels like everything’s Beachbody. So you kind of have the feeling that there is too many coaches, right?

I want to tell you one quick story and one quick statement because when I first got started, I had that same feeling and I was like, “You know, Beachbody has already taken off, right? It’s already become something that is like the timing’s not right anymore.” You may be feeling that way and when I got started, I actually had a mentor who mentored me in this business and he had built a business, he had been in network marketing for 30 years.

He had built a team and been very successful, he was really, really successful so I admired him and respected him and learned a ton from him. Here is what he told me when I brought that up in the beginning. He said, “I want to tell you a story Keith and I want you to really hear this. Because it’s not about there being too many people, it’s about the mindset that you bring to the table.” He said, “When I went to my first event, there was so many people in my company that we filled a football stadium.

So we filled a football stadium and I was sitting up and I was in the 300 section and I was looking down and I was watching all these people getting recognized and watching all these things that they had done, I saw all these people here and I thought to myself, “That’s going to be me next year. That’s going to be me up on that stage, I’m going to leap frog everyone and I’m going to go form 300 section to the guy that’s sitting down front, getting recognized for helping all these people.”

Then lo and behold, a year later, he was down there on that stage being recognized for helping all those people. What I realized when I listened to that story, I realized that it’s not about the amount of people that are already signed up; it’s about what I’m going to do with this.  Because there is a million different reasons you can find for why this isn’t going to work but all you need to do is find one for why it is going to work and lean on that.

Too many people? So what? You think it’s passed the time? So what? Beachbody’s in one country right now, the growth — two countries, United states and Canada. The growth that’s going to happen over the next 10 years, we’re at such a small point right now, when we first got — you know, 30 years ago when people were doing network marketing, it was that you had to go door to door, right? You had to go into people’s houses and present the business.

Now we’ve got Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, podcasts, Pinterest, all these different ways that we can build it. We can do home parties and I’ve done it, I found people all the different ways so it’s not about there being too many people. All you’re really looking for, this is going to blow a lot of people away, all you’re really looking for in this business I five people. Five people that have the desire, ability, and motivation and reasons to do this as much as you want to do it and they’re actually going to do it. Too many people in your area isn’t — it’s just not a real excuse.

The second thing that he told me when it was sort of along the same lines as too many people, right? It was that if there’s too many people doing the business then a lot of people have already heard about it. What he would tell those people if he went up and he talked to someone about the business and they were like, “Yeah, I already heard about that thing.” His response was, “Well you haven’t heard it from me, let me talk to you about this for a few minutes.”

I learned that and what it really was, like the whole entire thing was about trying. The whole entire thing was putting yourself out there because this is a do and then learn business, not a learn and then do business. Let me repeat that. It’s a do, so you go out there, you do and activity and then you might mess up and then you learn how to do it a little bit better. This really isn’t a complicated business but people make it complicated.

If you want to lean on, “there’s too many people in my area,” like if you want to lean on that, if that helps you sleep at night, if that helps you to justify a reason for not getting started, then by all means. I’m here to speak truth to you and let you know that if that’s really what’s holding you back, then it’s just an excuse. This is a business where you can build the biggest, boldest, beautiful life you can ever dream up. It’s going to take work, it’s going to take hard work, it’s going to take perseverance, it’s going to take being mentored by the right team but that’s what you can do with this business.

Or maybe you just want to pay off a little bit of debt. There is no opportunity out there right now like network marketing and then in particular, like the Beachbody opportunity. If you’re looking for change in your life, it doesn’t matter what the circumstances are. What matters is what you do with it. You bet on you, and you know what? I like that. It was dependent on me, it wasn’t dependent on the government or my boss or my spouse or my family or anything. My success in this business was dependent on what I did with it. Same for you. Are you willing to bet on you?
