What I earned in 2015

In 2015, all our income was derived from Network Marketing. Our total profits from 2015 were $762,896.43. This was a 11% increase from 2014. This was the first year that we didn’t see a huge jump in the % increase of our income but I’ll take it .  We also spent a ton of down payment $$ on the purchase of our new home. I’ll share a little more about that, but an important piece to note here in the earnings area is we didn’t put a ton of extra into savings in addition to our usual 65K to our 401k. We did, however, put the down payment on the house, renovate the house, paid off Amy and my student loans, and paid off both our vehicles.

Number of Hours I Worked & My Activities

This was the year of really getting back to work and diving into some new projects. I would say on average I worked about 40 hours a week. During those 40 hours, I loved it, too. I worked on what I wanted to and I worked when I wanted to. Total schedule by design.

Two notable changes that happened in our business this year were the launching of the Business of Life Podcast and a few members of my Network Marketing hitting the Millionaire Club.

The Business of Life Podcast

I’ve had the opportunity to interview and connect with so many amazing people simply by hosting this podcast.  It’s been a labor of love and something that I have wanted to do for a long time. If you haven’t checked it out yet, swing over to your podcast app and just search my name or search “The Business of Life” and you’ll see it.

I have to be honest though, as much as I have loved it and as much as I have gotten out of it, I’m not sure if its going to be able to continue. I love interviewing those who I look up to and want to learn from, and I truly enjoy the entire process of podcasting. It’s not making any $$, though. Not only that, it is costing a ton of time and $$. If it was just a small project, I wouldn’t be having these reservations, but it’s not. It’s a massive undertaking and something that takes up 20 or so hours of my workweek.  So, all in all I love it, but need to continue to look at the viability of it and maybe tweak some things.

Members of my Team Hitting the Millionaire Club

When I first started in Network Marketing, my big goal – the thing that I set out to accomplish from the start – was to hit the Millionaire Club. We did that in 3.5 years and it was awesome. What I’m starting to see now is this is such a business of duplication. Speed of the leader, speed of the pack. Now I’m seeing many of those who I have mentored start to hit the Millionaire Club. They are not only earning great incomes, they’re starting to earn what I jokingly call “Monopoly money”, too. The coolest part of the whole thing is watching the ways in which they save, donate and help others with the abundance that is flowing into their lives.

New Challenges that came my way this year

Two awesome new challenges came my way this year.  I invited to speak at a men’s only leadership event and I also got to officiate my sister’s wedding.

Speaking at the leadership event in Dallas was something that I was really honored to be able to be a part of. There are so many amazing leaders in our company and we don’t really segregate into male and female except for this one event. It’s men leading men. It was the first time we did it and it was a huge success. Personally, I got to speak with the men who I’ve always looked up to in this business. Was kind of like a right of passage for this shy-introverted dude!

And then being able to officiate my sister’s wedding. What more of an honor can you get than that? The ceremony was in Northern Vermont at a beautiful resort, in an open field, with a lake surrounded by mountains. It was 100% them, and I was humbled and blessed to be able to conduct the ceremony and pronounce them husband and wife.

We Moved!

We didn’t move far, just one town over, but it was a huge move for us. The house we were living in was in the middle of the woods. It was a beautiful home, but in addition to being in the woods, it only had 2 bedrooms.

The new home is amazing. A five bedroom Victorian style home right in the town of Great Barrington, MA. We’re a 10 minute walk to town and in a neighborhood, not in the woods. Now we’re ½ way through the renovations. Not a huge renovation though; it’s one that we’re still living in the house through. We’re taking out some walls, doing floors, painting entire house, installing lights, etc.
