Total Yearly Income: $479,925

What I earned: In 2013, all our income was derived from Network Marketing. Our total profits from 2013 were $479,924.58. This was a 84% increase from 2012. This was also the year we started investing, putting $100,000 with a broker at Morgan Stanley, Jake Jacobus, Roland.A.Jacobus@morganstanley.com. If you have $10,000 or more to invest, I highly recommend talking with Jake and looking into his covered call strategy.

Number of Hours I worked/Activities: Ahh, the year of not really working. I just wanted to enjoy what we had going and it didn’t matter anymore if I worked or not. The checks were going to come in regardless of how many hours I was working a week. On average, I worked about 10 hrs a week this year and all that work was mostly maintenance work. I wasn’t focused on building my business as I knew it would grow regardless. I also took off the majority of the summer, traveled to Arizona, South Dakota, Disney, and Las Vegas for spiritual retreats, vacations and one work trip (which really isn’t work).

What I learned: You know, I was really surprised at what I learned this year. I learned I really like to work! Even thought taking almost an entire year off was awesome and relaxing and such an amazing way to spend a year with my family, I got bored. My soul loves to help and create and be a part of something, and doesn’t really like to sit idle. So, I learned that periods of rest are great for me, but to feel fulfilled I wanted to get back to work.

What I planned on doing differently: It was time to get back to a more structured schedule in 2013 and continue working with others and helping them build their businesses. I also wanted to start transitioning a little in my business at the end of 2013. We really built it as a mom and pop strictly off hustle and I wanted to start focusing in more on building it as a real business structure. I wanted to put systems into place and make it more scalable for the lifestyle I want to continue living.
