Whether you are already a Beachbody Coach or considering becoming one, you most likely want to be successful as a Coach. So, what do successful Beachbody Coaches do differently? And why are some Coaches so much more successful than others?

Here is the deal. Every Beachbody Coach is given the same initial training and opportunity. Everyone enters the business from the same starting position. They sign up as a new Beachbody Coach with no current customers and no Coaches in their downline. That said, some people may have somewhat of a leg up over others and some may see quicker results, but in general it’s fair game. The main reason for this is that the Beachbody business opportunity is already laid out for you. Beachbody teaches you what to do, how to do it, where to start, etc. They have already built the business plan for you, all you need to do is execute it.

I’ve outlined the 6 critical tips for success as a Beachbody Coach. Read about them below.

6 Tips for Success as a Beachbody Coach

So if everyone is given the same opportunity, then why is it that some people are so much more successful than others as a Beachbody Coach? It comes down to the six key elements of execution. I’ve listed these 6 tips for success as a Beachbody Coach below along with a little about my personal story and how it relates to each element. Although it’s my personal experience, I can guarantee you any successful Beachbody Coach will have a similar story.

In order to succeed as a Beachbody Coach, you have to do more than just sign up as a Coach. You have to execute the system.

  1. You need to have a reason why you became a Beachbody Coach, and your reason must be deep. It has to stir emotion in you. Your reason “why” will come from one of two places or a combination of both: inspiration and/or desperation. These are really the only two ways we are moved to take effective action. For me, my “why” was huge! I was desperate, really desperate, and I was also inspired (a powerful combo). I was a new father and a new husband, I was going through a personal bankruptcy and Beachbody was my only income. Can you say desperate!? I was also inspired as heck because I had already gone through P90X and had amazing results. I was truly in love with Beachbody when I decided to become a Coach. This combination of factors was a huge wind behind the sails that propelled me forward from the start. It also gave me something to turn to when I doubted myself and my abilities in this business. Do you have desperation and/or inspiration that stirs deep inside you to define your powerful “why?”
  2. You must commit yourself for a certain time period when you are going to give the Coaching opportunity 100%. You need to allocate a time of day and dedicate a number of days each week when you are going to focus on your Beachbody Coaching business. I committed to this business 100% and made it my full time career. I committed big time because my back was up against the wall and I had a family to support. I had to make this work! In addition, I hated the 9-5 job that I was doing and was already majorly burned out. For me, I not only dedicated a certain amount of time to the business, I was all in. I was in it to build a large business right from the start. What are you looking to get out of this business and what commitment are you willing to make to yourself? FYI, the worst thing you can do is break a commitment to yourself. Don’t ever do it.
  3. You have to stretch your belief daily. It’s okay if during the beginning you honestly don’t think you can do it. The way we progress through that is through doing the daily work. Gradually, our belief in ourselves and our ability to accomplish increases and we are able to do more and more. It’s like a snowball rolling down a hill. It starts off small but as it picks up steam it becomes larger and larger and more powerful. Your belief in your ability will grow just like that, even if you don’t see it now. It grows from doing. I remember when I first started. I would look up all the successful Coaches and see the incomes they were earning, the recognition they were getting, the doors that opened for them. In all honesty, I knew deep down in my heart that I could do that, too. But my mind was not on board and I didn’t really believe. But I would go out and share our products and share our business opportunity. Each and every day, little by little, I gained more confidence in myself and what I was capable of. While this eventually led to major success on all levels of Beachbody Coaching, it didn’t start that way. It started as a newbie intimidated by all the veteran Coaches. You just need to make the decision to stretch beyond your comfort zone daily, not a ton, just a little each day.
  4. You have to win the small victories each and every day. Let’s face it, life is going to come up and you are going to run into many times when you have the choice to do the work or to not do the work. One day doesn’t make a difference, but one day turns into a week and then a month very fast. Never underestimate the result of those small decisions. That’s where the difference between success and failure lies.Someone told me this simple story one time. Eating McDonald’s today won’t effect your health. Eating it again tomorrow won’t have much effect either. But repeat that for a year or more, and you’re in big trouble. The same goes with your Beachbody Coaching business. Not doing the work today is not a big deal. But today can eventually turn into a week and then a month and so on really fast. For me, the small victories as a Coach are not just getting the work done, but doing it with faith and enthusiasm. This business is just like anything else. In the beginning you’re all excited and fired up. But you have to find ways to keep that fire going. Understanding the overall picture of what I was doing and where I was going with this business kept me going. Day after day, I would continue to get into the “feeling nature” of faithfully and enthusiastically sharing products and the Beachbody business opportunity. It’s a day to day decision and the prep work of getting yourself mentally “psyched up” that is so vital to your success.
  5. You have to get better and better each day. This element is easy to miss but crucial to your success as a Beachbody Coach. Beyond just winning the small victories, you need to stretch what you are doing each day, doing a tiny bit more than you did the day before. Week over week, month over month this equals huge growth. This is one that a lot of people miss: getting better and better and perfecting your craft. For me, I didn’t come into this business as a natural. I had to work really hard at it. Learning how to share our products, how to tell my story, how to share our business opportunity, how to teach and train others. All of that came from just learning a little bit more each day and getting a little bit better. This is about doing tiny little stretches each day, and doing those over and over. You need to focus on being a student of the business.
  6. You need to have support as you grow. You need someone or a group of people who you are going through things together with. Man… the support system was and continues to be enormous for me. When I first got started it was me and my sponsor, Bob Lucido. We were on the phone 2, 3, 4 times a day, talking, planning, strategizing and helping each other out. The synergy that came from this was powerful. Not only did Bob and I work together, but I also participated in all our team trainings and on our team Facebook Page. I made it a point to attend all of the Beachbody events and also to win all of the trips they had. And I got my wife on board 100% supporting and helping me. You don’t want to try to go at this business alone. Get your support network in line!

Bonus Element for Beachbody Coaching Success

You have to focus your efforts not just on selling products, but on bringing in other Coaches. Again, this is something that you are most likely not going to be comfortable with in the beginning, but it’s a key ingredient for successful Beachbody Coaches. Most people fall into the trap of just focusing on selling product, which is good, but if you want to enjoy a high level of success as a Beachbody Coach, you need to sponsor other Coaches. I’m such a firm believer in this that 99% of my work and income is derived from teaching others how to do what I do.
