[MINDSET MONDAY]
[00:00:12] KC: Welcome to today’s episode of Mindset Monday. Keith here and today we’re talking about the dangers of indecision, the destructive nature of indecision. So a lot of times there’s things in life that we can clearly see the negative sides of it, right? Like procrastination, fear, anger. These are things that can, I guess procrastination is going to kind of go along with indecision, but like fear and anger, resentment, hatred, jealousy, like we can see these are clearly things that will prevent us from living a happy and fulfilling life.
Then there’s some that sort of hide underneath the, you know, they’re hiding a little bit. They’re ones that are not as easy to see, but they’re just as powerful, just as dangerous. And decision is one of those, and really the reason that it’s just so bad, it’s so toxic for us is because it drains so much energy. Sometimes we just have to make a decision. We either do, or we don’t. If you think about, let’s say that you were in a relationship and you’re in this relationship and you stay in it for years but all the time you’re always questioning, “Should I stay in this relationship? Is it a good relationship? Is it something that I want to move forward with? Is this the right one? Is this the right situation?”
So you can have something like that with a relationship, or maybe it’s something with work where you’re constantly, you’re constantly asking yourself, “Is this right? Is this what I’m supposed to be doing? Maybe I should be doing something else?” And then you put your toe into something else and you’re like, “Oh it’s not going to work.” Cause you’re always looking, and the grass is always greener on the other side, and that’s sort of a good quote for indecision. I want you to really think about that. Really think about your life and really think about what you’re doing in your life.
The way that I look at this is I look at indecision or I look at what I’m doing in my life and an easy way to work with indecision is A, to make sure you’re limiting the amount of things that you’re taking on in your life. And this is anything from your possessions, to your commitments, to the job that you’re doing. So the more things that we take on, the blurrier, and blurrier life can get. If we have less commitments, we can be very clear and very focused on our commitments. And then when stuff comes up, you have to just get to the point that you make a decision.
You make a decision and it’s really metaphorically, you want to make sure you leave yourself no way out. That’s something that you kind of just have to make the decision. You have to make the decision to close the door to going back, right? A few big examples of this are, when I made the decision to go into business for myself, one of the biggest reasons that people do not succeed is they make that decision, but then when things get tough they sort of waffle back and forth, “Did I do the right thing? Am I doing the right thing?” And they sit in that place forever, and it ruins their business. That one indecision piece.
Another one is like with when I made the commitment, when my wife and I made the commitment to each other to get married. It’s an all or nothing thing for me. We’ve got a divorce rate of over 50%, and I’m not saying – maybe you’ve been divorced, maybe you haven’t, and maybe we’ll get divorced? Kind of crazy to put that out there and say that with the points that I’m making here. But the deeper piece is, I am all in right now. There’s no opening the door to anything else. There’s no flirting with another woman, there’s no entertaining the thoughts of, “Well what if I left?” Things like that.
And maybe something down the road will happen and I have to change my course, but making a decision, being decisive is being 100% decisive in the moment, making that decision, following that path. I want to leave you with this one piece. Sometimes it doesn’t matter which way you go, you just have to make a decision. Because indecisiveness is going to suck the life out of you. So make a decision, either way.
Have a beautiful day, have a beautiful week, loving these Mindset Mondays, loving this podcast and just grateful that you’re here listening in. All right, peace!

[00:03:58] KC: Today’s episode is brought to you by our sister podcast, All About Beachbody Coaching. So All About Beachbody Coaching really allows us to do this podcast without having all those annoying commercials in the beginning for you. So All About Beachbody Coaching, the Beachbody business that Amy and I run, actually funds this podcast.
So yes, it does cost money to run this podcast, we do not charge you anything, we don’t throw in commercials or anything like that, it really is, it’s funded by our business and by our other podcast, All About Beachbody Coaching. And for me, I’m just eternally grateful for this opportunity because it’s allowed me to really create the life that I love to live.
It’s given me the opportunity to do what I want, when I want, with who I want, and even deeper than that, it’s allowed me to help others to create the same for themselves. It’s allowed me to help hundreds of other people become part time or full time Beachbody coaches, to leave that corporate 9 to 5 job and create passive income in their lives.
And really there’s nothing like that. It’s cool when you have success, it’s so much more rewarding when you help others. So I mention this or a few reasons, the first reason is, that’s actually the way that I work with people and mentor people. I don’t do anything outside of Beachbody coaching because I know that it’s such a powerful life changing tool.
So if you’re curious about working with me, interested in working one-on-one, interested in creating the type of life that you wanna live, I suggest swinging over there. The other reason is, even if somebody’s just curious, like you’ve heard about Beachbody, you know there’s a lot of Beachbody coaches out there. Maybe some of them you get a little annoyed with.
It really dives into what this business is really about, which is life transformation. So if you’re just curious, swing over there. And then the other piece is, if you’re really considering becoming a Beachbody coach, I highly, highly recommend you listen to that first.
Alright, much love guys. Again, that is the All About Beachbody Coaching Podcast, our sister podcast.
