[INTRODUCTION]
KC: Welcome to The Business of Life. My name is Keith Callahan, your host. And today I want to share with you a personal mantra that I have used and I have walked with for many years now.
Sometimes it has sort of come out of focus. But what I’m really walking through and moving through something new – when I’m moving through uncharted territory for me, I want to keep my mind focused because sometimes, especially for me, my mind is cuckoo. Like my mind can go in a million different directions and my mind can go into fear. My mind can go into anxiety. My mind can go into worry and guilt and comparison and judgment.
It can go kind of all over the place. One of the things that I love to focus on is getting clear on what it is that I want to do and where it is that I’m going. Then I have this simple mantra that I repeat over and over and over and it’s “I can, I will, I am.” I can, I will, I am. I can, I will, I am.
I literally think about – for those who – the center of my forehead, it’s called the “third eye center”. But that spot right in the center of my forehead and I focus it in there and really it’s like – it’s almost like I’m holding on to my brain and that thought is all that matters at that time. That thought is where I come back to when my mind wants to go to fear or anxiety or judgment.
I can, I will, I am and I can always close my eyes and I can sit for 20 seconds and just focus in on that, focus in on that, focus in on believing it, focus in on having faith in it. Then my focus, my clarity gets dialed in.
So yeah, it’s a simple mantra that I use and for you, whatever you’re looking to do in life, whatever change you’re looking to make, wherever you are in life, if you are in a difficult situation. Like I use this when I’m with the kids and I’m changing the baby and the – like normally I would just want to – for a little baby, the baby is freaking out. They’re kicking. Maybe they’ve got a dirty diaper and you’re – like normally, if I don’t do that, I could lose my energy. I could get a little overwhelmed in the situation.
Like that’s it. Like nothing else is going to happen. I’m just going to get overwhelmed in the situation. But then I focus on staying calm and it’s like I can, I will, I am. I focus on staying in a loving, compassionate place. I can, I will, I am. And I focus on coming out of that in a loving, compassionate place and then – because something as simple as that can start your day off, right? Like a baby screaming. You’re changing the diaper and there’s stuff going everywhere. It can throw the entire day off or before I’m about to work out, I don’t want to work out. I don’t feel like it.
Maybe I’m just going to pop the DVD in and kind of just go through it, but not 100 percent. But then I focus in my mind. I focus in my mind on giving it 100 percent, on being focused on the workout and I can, I will, I am, or maybe I’m about to go on stage and speak in front of a large crowd. I’m a little bit nervous about it. I can, I will, I am. I can, I will, I am, or maybe there’s something big in my life that I’m doing.
When I was moving into the new venture of podcasting, all the doubts and the fears and the anxieties about doing something new would pop in and I would just shift into it. I can, I will, I am. I can, I will, I am. It takes me through those things. So I just wanted to share that and for you, I don’t think it matters what your mantra is as long as it’s powerful for you.
But these are just simple life principles. These are universal truths. This isn’t really key stuff. This is me doing something that – this is how the universe works because if I was saying – I don’t even want to say it. If I was saying it – things in a negative way about things not happening, and I believe in this stuff so much that I’m not even going to say that. I wouldn’t say I and then a negative thought about myself because that’s how the universe works. You feed that. That’s what happens.
All right. Have a beautiful, beautiful day. Keep your mind focused in on what it is that you want to accomplish in your life. Much love! Peace!

I read a crazy amount of books, I really do. I’ve probably read thousands of books and these are the top 12 books that – they’re the ones that I go to, they’re the ones that I work with over, and over, and over again. They are highlighted, outlined, dog-eared. And I put this list together for you because I want it to be a shortcut.
I don’t want you to have to – you don’t have to go out and read the thousands and thousands of books. These are the 12 that I highly recommend. I have a detailed review for each book, explaining why I recommend them, why I like them, when I worked with them in my life, what part of my life they helped me to improve.

[SPONSOR MESSAGE]
KC: Today’s episode is brought to you by our sister podcast, All About Beachbody Coaching. So All About Beachbody Coaching really allows us to do this podcast without having all those annoying commercials in the beginning for you. So All About Beachbody Coaching, the Beachbody business that Amy and I run, actually funds this podcast.
So yes, it does cost money to run this podcast, we do not charge you anything, we don’t throw in commercials or anything like that, it really is, it’s funded by our business and by our other podcast, All About Beachbody Coaching. And for me, I’m just eternally grateful for this opportunity because it’s allowed me to really create the life that I love to live.
It’s given me the opportunity to do what I want, when I want, with who I want, and even deeper than that, it’s allowed me to help others to create the same for themselves. It’s allowed me to help hundreds of other people become part time or full time Beachbody coaches, to leave that corporate 9 to 5 job and create passive income in their lives.
And really there’s nothing like that. It’s cool when you have success, it’s so much more rewarding when you help others. So I mention this or a few reasons, the first reason is, that’s actually the way that I work with people and mentor people. I don’t do anything outside of Beachbody coaching because I know that it’s such a powerful life changing tool.
So if you’re curious about working with me, interested in working one-on-one, interested in creating the type of life that you wanna live, I suggest swinging over there. The other reason is, even if somebody’s just curious, like you’ve heard about Beachbody, you know there’s a lot of Beachbody coaches out there. Maybe some of them you get a little annoyed with.
It really dives into what this business is really about, which is life transformation. So if you’re just curious, swing over there. And then the other piece is, if you’re really considering becoming a Beachbody coach, I highly, highly recommend you listen to that first.
Alright, much love guys. Again, that is the All About Beachbody Coaching Podcast, our sister podcast.
ANNOUNCER: Thank you for listening to the Business of Life Podcast. Apply what you learned today and you’ll be one step closer to creating the life you love to live.
