[INTRODUCTION]
KC: Welcome to The Business of Life Podcast. My name is Keith Callahan, your host.
Today’s topic, today’s title is what I call The Current of Life and here’s what I believe. I believe that in life – this is a simplistic view. But I like to make things simple for myself, because it makes it easier to focus on what I need to do and the daily activities and what I need to focus on.
So the current of life and I believe that really life is a struggle between two different things. It’s a struggle between our egos and when I use the word “ego,” I mean like our actual minds, ourselves, our personal wants, needs and desires.
Like, being a part of this physical world and material things and all that. So our egos are there and then what I call our higher selves. Our higher selves is that part that is – it’s our hearts or egos could be described more as in our head. Our higher selves is when we shift down into our hearts.
The higher self is more creative. It’s loving. It’s compassionate. It’s inclusive of everyone else. It’s free-flowing. Yeah. So it’s just a more divine energy and I always look at it like it’s – it’s like a current going down a river, right?
We’ve always heard this river analogy. But here’s how I look at it, because I like to make things simple. I like to make them concrete in my mind. I believe that a lot of people – all right, let me take a step back. So I see the river and again, going – like using this example, if we’re in that energy, it’s just like flowing down the river, right? It doesn’t matter how rough or rocky or how many rapids the river has or if it’s calm. Being in that flow, that divine flow, that current of life is literally like floating down the river and not getting stuck.
Then being in the ego, the mind and all that, like this material world, we get stuck – just like getting stuck on a river, maybe we get stuck on a branch and maybe we’ve been stuck for years and years and years and we have all this stuff piled up around us, because we’ve been stuck and then there’s this other stuff building up.
We can get stuck to the point that we don’t even know there’s another way. We don’t even know that we’re stuck. We don’t even know that we’re jammed up on this rock and everything is piling up against us and that’s how we’ve been living our life for the last 20, 30, 40, 50 years.
When we’re stuck in that, when we’re stuck in the ego and mind, when we’re stuck and not flowing with life, things are scary. Things are scary. There’s guilt. There’s shame. There’s fear. There are anxieties. There’s depression.
All that comes from being stuck. It comes from living out of the mind, living out of the ego mind, not the heart. At any time, we can get unstuck. That’s the beauty of this, that anytime we can get unstuck and imagine if you were there for years and years and years getting unstuck. It might be hard. You might have so much stuff that you have to dig through just to get back into the flow of life.
But at any time, we can do it. At any time, we can free ourselves and here’s the deal with living with the flow of life, living with that – there really is. There’s a divine energy that goes along when you’re just – people get to the point of it. They get to the point of – they say, “I surrender. I give up. I don’t know how to do this anymore.”
Oh, that just shed all kinds of sticks and stuff that was around you. That might have just freed you up and now, you’re floating down that river. Here’s the deal. When you’re floating down the river, especially at first, you may have been stuck for years and years and years and now you’re down this river and it’s – you’re not in control anymore. You have to surrender. The more you surrender, the easier that it is. That’s really an analogy for life. Life is that simple.
The more we can get unstuck, the more we can let go, the more we can literally put our arms out and let that river take us where it wants to take us and trust it 100 percent, the better and better life gets. The easier and easier it gets. The more faith we develop, the more trust we develop, the more belief we develop.
Here’s a secret. Here are two secrets. The first secret is when you’re stuck, your mind cannot even conceive of the ability to get unstuck, that it’s even possible. It’s not a mind thing. It’s a faith and action thing.
I had the other piece. I forget what the other piece was. So getting – when you’re stuck like that, just know that you can’t think your way out of it. The action is getting those sticks off you, pushing, somehow getting back into that flow, that divine flow. Then having faith, having faith that the river is going to take care of you. The river is going to bring you where you need to go.
It doesn’t ever get to the point that it’s not a constant focus and a constant decision. Stay in the flow, stay in the flow, stay in the flow.
All right. That is my little story about the current of life. Stay in it. Get in it if you’ve never been in it. Sort of a big, deep philosophical piece, but it’s simple and it will change your life.
Have a beautiful, beautiful day. See you on the next episode. Peace!

[SPONSOR MESSAGE]
KC: Today’s episode is brought to you by our sister podcast, All About Beachbody Coaching. So All About Beachbody Coaching really allows us to do this podcast without having all those annoying commercials in the beginning for you. So All About Beachbody Coaching, the Beachbody business that Amy and I run, actually funds this podcast.
So yes, it does cost money to run this podcast, we do not charge you anything, we don’t throw in commercials or anything like that, it really is, it’s funded by our business and by our other podcast, All About Beachbody Coaching. And for me, I’m just eternally grateful for this opportunity because it’s allowed me to really create the life that I love to live.
It’s given me the opportunity to do what I want, when I want, with who I want, and even deeper than that, it’s allowed me to help others to create the same for themselves. It’s allowed me to help hundreds of other people become part time or full time Beachbody coaches, to leave that corporate 9 to 5 job and create passive income in their lives.
And really there’s nothing like that. It’s cool when you have success, it’s so much more rewarding when you help others. So I mention this or a few reasons, the first reason is, that’s actually the way that I work with people and mentor people. I don’t do anything outside of Beachbody coaching because I know that it’s such a powerful life changing tool.
So if you’re curious about working with me, interested in working one-on-one, interested in creating the type of life that you wanna live, I suggest swinging over there. The other reason is, even if somebody’s just curious, like you’ve heard about Beachbody, you know there’s a lot of Beachbody coaches out there. Maybe some of them you get a little annoyed with.
It really dives into what this business is really about, which is life transformation. So if you’re just curious, swing over there. And then the other piece is, if you’re really considering becoming a Beachbody coach, I highly, highly recommend you listen to that first.
Alright, much love guys. Again, that is the All About Beachbody Coaching Podcast, our sister podcast.
ANNOUNCER: Thank you for listening to the Business of Life Podcast. Apply what you learned today and you’ll be one step closer to creating the life you love to live.
