All right. Let’s dive right into today’s topic, which is wishing people happiness. This is so insanely simple. And I want to explain to you a few different ways that I use – that I do this. So a lot of people say that I can’t meditate. And this is actually taken from a meditation technique. And I’m going to give you three different examples.

The first is when you’re going about life, literally taking 10 seconds. You can do this right now. Think of one person and like one person that you really – that you like and just think about them and just close your eyes. If you’re driving, don’t close your eyes. You can do this with your eyes open too. And just wish them to be happy. All right. That’s it. Now, do it for one more person. Just think of another person and just wish them to be happy.

You can’t help but get in a better mood and feel lighter. This is an insanely simple technique. So that’s one thing.

Another thing that I was told and I was taught by one of my spiritual teachers is whenever you’re going through a hard time, pray for someone else. So it’s the same concept as wishing someone else to be happy. What it’s doing is it’s taking us out of our own ego, our own mind, our own neurosis and just wishing somebody else happiness. It’s a beautiful, beautiful thing.

I’ve started this new practice of – I have a hard time paying attention. And sometimes with the kids, I’m elsewhere. And I’ve started this new practice of whenever they’re talking to me like they’re so – my kids are young and they want to talk and they want to explain and they’re just getting so detailed and they’re so animated and they’re so excited and I want to make sure that I’m catching it. And here’s a way that I found an easy way to catch it.

And so, I listen but as I’m listening, I’m just wishing this child just happiness. Nothing else. Like no more complicated than that. And it brings a smile to my face. It helps me to appreciate their story more. It helps us to connect on a deeper level.

And when you’re doing this, people don’t even have to know you’re doing it. You can be walking down the street. You can be sitting in your car. You can be at class. You can take a break every hour and do the 10-second one that I just showed you, wishing people happiness.

What if you did that for 10 seconds every hour for the rest of your life? How much would your life improve? You want something that’s going to drastically improve your life? Start focusing on wishing other people happiness.
